Key job responsibilities
* Review and understand the transportation process from Fulfillment Centres to delivery stations.
* Measure and ensure enough bandwidth in the sortation team to meet peak‐time delivery demands.
* Assist Area Managers in reviewing performance appraisals of station supervisors and learn to mentor them for efficient operations.
* Continuously improve throughput and attain a sustained level of delivery performance improvement.
* Analyse data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve overall performance.
* Research and review formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen.

Eligibility: You must be available for the full internship period for 3 months from Dec 2026 – Feb 2027. Locations may include sites across Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, or Queensland; candidates should be open to relocation. A relocation stipend will be provided outside of the internship stipend.
As an Area Manager Intern, you are part of something bigger and amazing. This role is not corporate – you will be based in the heart of the action at one of our Fulfillment Centres, working with other Area Managers, support staff, and learning everything you need to know about how Amazon Operations works. You will be provided with a mentor and a strong intern support network.
Basic Qualifications
* Currently in your penultimate year of study in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Technology, Economics, Industrial Design, Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Commerce, or related fields, graduating in 2027.
* Motivated to learn process improvement.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and produce solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
* Some work experience – through placement years, internships, or university projects.
