Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing and cooking high-quality meals while ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining consistency in food presentation and taste.

Salary $75,000-$80,000 plus super
Responsibilities
Planning menus in consultation with management and developing daily and seasonal specials.
Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard.
Demonstrating and supervising cooking techniques and procedures.
Monitoring food quality during preparation and presentation.
Estimating food and labour costs and assisting with budget control.
Ordering and managing food supplies and stock levels.
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health regulations.
Supervising, training and mentoring kitchen staff.
Collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 1 year relevant experience as a Chef or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and commercial kitchen operations.
Proven ability to manage kitchen workflow and food cost control.
Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
Relevant industry experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
