Ceduna District Health Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Unit Manager to join the team in a backfill opportunity from May 2026 to March 2027. As a key regional health service providing emergency, acute, perioperative and community care, Ceduna plays a vital role in supporting the health needs of a diverse and remote population.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will coordinate and lead the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across key clinical areas including acute services, emergency, and perioperative services. You will provide strong clinical leadership, oversee workforce and resource management, and foster a positive team culture that supports safe, effective care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate clinical services to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and flow
* Manage staffing, rostering, and resources to support efficient service delivery
* Drive quality improvement, risk management, and adherence to policies and standards
* Support, mentor, and develop staff to build a positive and high-performing team culture
Key Qualifications
* Strong leadership skills and a passion for developing and supporting clinical teams
* Confidence in managing complex clinical environments and driving quality care outcomes
* Effective communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams
* Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering person-centred care
