Part Time/Permanent - 18.125 hours per week

About The Role

Are you interested in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the smooth operation of sports facilities and events? We're seeking a motivated and organised Bookings and Events Officer who enjoys working in a dynamic, people focused environment and thrives on balancing customer service, administration and operational coordination in a community setting to join our recreation precinct team.

In this role, you'll manage the end to end booking process for a range of community, sporting and event uses across our precinct facilities. Working closely with the Precinct Manager and the precinct team, you'll coordinate event logistics, support front of house service delivery, and ensure bookings are managed efficiently, compliantly and with a strong customer focus.

You'll regularly engage with a diverse range of hirers, sporting groups and internal teams, providing clear guidance on venue use, policies and procedures. You'll also support day to day facility operations, maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous service improvement as the precinct continues to grow and evolve.

* experience in bookings administration, customer service, venue support or event assistance within a sports and recreation environment
* good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with others
* experience with point-of-sale and booking systems, and Microsoft Office applications, or the ability to learn quickly
* the ability to work a spread of hours, working a roster that includes weekdays, weekends and nights, and be available to work across multiple locations within the Local Government area
* current First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake relevant training.
