Business Development & Lead Generation Manager

Fitness & Wellness Sector
Melbourne, VIC | Full-time

Lead pipeline growth across Australia's fitness and wellness industry.
Workspace 360 is a professional services consultancy supporting growth, expansion, and transformation across the fitness and wellness sector. As we deepen our focus in this market, we are seeking an experienced Business Development & Lead Generation Manager with strong industry knowledge and established relationships.
This role sits at the front of our growth engine and is responsible for generating and qualifying high-quality opportunities — enabling senior leadership to focus on strategic advisory, solution design, and closing well-structured work.
This is a strategic, relationship-led business development role, not a transactional sales position.

Role Purpose
The Business Development & Lead Generation Manager is responsible for building a consistent, high-quality pipeline of right-fit opportunities within the fitness and wellness market.
The role exists to:
Improve pipeline predictability and quality
Strengthen Workspace 360's presence and credibility in the sector
Reduce reliance on senior leaders for lead sourcing
Protect delivery capacity by filtering out poor-fit opportunities early
The role does not carry responsibility for pricing, closing, or delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and engage fitness and wellness organisations aligned to Workspace 360's offering
Leverage existing industry relationships with gym operators, franchise groups, suppliers, and referrers
Qualify opportunities against agreed fit criteria (scale, growth intent, complexity, values)
Book high-quality, well-prepared meetings with senior leadership
Nurture long-term relationships with industry partners, consultants, and referrers
Maintain accurate CRM records and clear pipeline visibility
Filter out low-probability or misaligned opportunities early in the process
Support effective handover of qualified opportunities into the sales process

Measures of Success
Success in this role is defined by:
A steady flow of qualified opportunities from the fitness and wellness sector
Strong progression of introduced opportunities beyond initial qualification
Reduced time spent by senior leaders on prospecting
Increased predictability and confidence in pipeline forecasting
Strengthened market presence and industry relationships

About You
This role will suit someone who brings deep sector knowledge and credibility, including:
Demonstrated experience in business development or sales within the fitness and wellness industry
Existing relationships with gym operators, fitness franchise groups, or sector suppliers
Strong commercial judgement and ability to assess opportunity fit
Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and business owners
A structured, disciplined approach to CRM and pipeline management

Highly regarded backgrounds include:
Sales or account management roles with gym equipment suppliers
Franchise support or network development roles
Commercial services supporting multi-site fitness operators
