An exciting opportunity to provide support to various Research teams in establishing, undertaking and supervising Research Projects in the Clifford Craig Research and Innovation Centre - a state-of-the-art facility, the largest of its kind in regional Australia offering dedicated spaces for research, clinical trials and research education activities.
The Team:
In Northern Tasmania, a new Research and Innovation Centre has been established, offering dedicated spaces for research, clinical trials and research education activities.
This state-of-the-art facility is the largest of its kind in regional Australia, occupying an entire floor within a purpose-built area at the Launceston General Hospital precinct.
The centre includes specialized areas to support clinical trials, including feasibility assessments, recruitment facilitation, business and account management, as well as dedicated offices for ethics and governance.
The Clifford Craig Research and Innovation Centre houses both the Clifford Craig Foundation who fund medical research and the Research Unit, serving as a showcase for collaborative funding and partnerships in research and clinical trials. It encompasses the full spectrum of research activity—from securing funding to study completion.
The Role:
The Registered Nurse - Research Unit provides support to various Research teams in establishing, undertaking and supervising Research Projects. The Registered Nurse - performs their duties under the direction of the various Principal Research Investigators with general direction and guidance from the Research Unit Manager, Clinical Coordinator and the Director of Research Hospitals North and North West
You will need
Current knowledge of, and the demonstrated ability to apply, nursing principles, procedures, and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Councill (AN MC) National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse.
Demonstrated advanced clinical competence and relevant knowledge and experience i n clinical research/research activities including data collection skills and the ability to apply the principles of nursing care to the research project activities.
Experience in the use of office management software, together with an understanding of clinical information systems and data collection in the clinical setting.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing at a mutually agreed time for a period of 3 years.

Salary:
$78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement ****
