The Senior Analyst supports the Senior Manager to validate BOQ Group’s models and ensure they meet our high standards. You will innovate and create cutting-edge tools to streamline validation processes, lead walkthroughs of key processes and models, identify risks, and propose innovative solutions. You will dive into data, extracting and analyzing information from key systems to support your findings. The role involves identifying and implementing pragmatic alternative modeling approaches and assumptions, collaborating with business units like Credit Risk, Treasury, and Finance, and educating partners on validation approaches and tests. Additionally, you will coach and mentor staff developing models and foster trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About you
You should be skilled in Credit Risk modeling, with expertise in Market Risk, Balance Sheet Management, Stress Testing, and related disciplines. Experience in model validation or risk is valued, but candidates from model development, consulting, or internal audit backgrounds are also encouraged. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Physics, Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, or Economics is required; postgraduate qualifications and CFA or FRM certifications are desirable. You must possess strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills, coding experience (VBA, Python, C++, R, SAS, SQL), advanced Excel skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
