Overview
The Role
This is a unique opportunity to work on critical maritime projects, contributing to the maintenance and sustainment of both commercial and Royal Australian Navy vessels. The role involves a diverse range of fabrication, welding, and repair tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Responsibilities
* Welding and Boiler fabrication
* Read and interpret shop drawings
* GMAW, GTAW and SMAW welding processes
* Weld all types of metals, ferrous and nonferrous
* Work in confined spaces and on elevated work platform equipment
Essential Experience & Qualifications
You will be required to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance.
* Trade certificate in Fabrication / Engineering
* Working at Heights ticket
* Induction for Construction Work / White Card
* Enter and Work Confined Spaces ticket
Desirable Experience and Licences
* Previous experience working on maritime vessels
* MIG & TIG welding experience
* Heavy Engineering experience
* Existing Baseline or NV1 security clearance
