Offer description

About the Company

Ahrens is a fifth‑generation, Australian family‑owned business with more than 120 years of experience delivering complex projects across construction, engineering, mining, industrial services, water storage and infrastructure.

With close to 2,000 employees nationwide, we continue to grow by investing in our people, systems and ways of working. Our culture is grounded in commitment, integrity and safety — and we’re serious about doing things properly, especially when it comes to bringing new people into the business.

About the Role

We’re looking for a switched‑on HR Administrator to join our growing People & Culture team in Kwinana. You’ll thrive in a high‑volume environment and take real pride in getting the details right.

You’ll play a key role in supporting our mining and industrial services workforce by coordinating pre‑employment and onboarding processes across multiple starters at once. From offer acceptance through to site readiness, you’ll ensure documentation, systems and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.

You’ll manage pre‑employment processes, prepare employment documentation, maintain HR systems and ensure every new starter is cleared, compliant and ready to hit the ground running. If you love ticking boxes (in the best possible way) and hate things falling through the cracks, this role was made for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Coordinating pre‑employment checks, including medicals, drug and alcohol testing, reference checks and right‑to‑work verifications
* Preparing employment contracts, letters of offer and onboarding documentation
* Maintaining accurate employee records and HR system data
* Processing contract variations, change advice and payroll onboarding requirements
* Supporting mobilisation by ensuring new starters are cleared and site‑ready
Providing administrative and coordination support to the broader People & Culture team

What We're Looking For

* Demonstrated HR administration or coordination experience, ideally in mining, resources, construction, or labour hire
* A natural organiser with exceptional attention to detail — someone who doesn't let things slip
* Experience with onboarding, pre-employment, and employment documentation processes
* Comfortable working with HR and Payroll systems (Kronos, Pronto or similar) and the MS Office Suite
A team player who communicates clearly, follows up consistently, and gets things done

Why Join Ahrens?

* Join a growing and evolving People & Culture team
* Gain hands‑on experience in high‑volume mining and industrial workforce operations
Enjoy a supportive team environment with real career development opportunities
