About the Opportunity Play a vital role in the safe and efficient operation of Council landfills! This dynamic position involves a variety of responsibilities, including operating plant and equipment in compliance with waste management legislation and procedures. What you will bring Ideally the successful applicant will have the following: Current Driver’s Licence endorsed HR truck (National). Hold or willing to obtain an Excavator, Front End Loader and Compactor Certificate of Competency within twelve months. Knowledge of landfill and transfer station operations including the use of landfill plant and equipment. Knowledge of OH&S practices and principles associated with landfill and transfer station operations. Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment. Salary and Conditions The position is classified within Band 3 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $84,542 to $89,591 per annum inclusive of Waste LAWA Provisions, industry allowance, maintenance allowance plus statutory superannuation. This is required to work five (5) public holidays per year, and twelve (12) weekends a year.
