About the Role
We are seeking dedicated Counsellors and Psychologists to fill Lecturer positions in our Master of Counselling program. As a valued member of our faculty, you will inspire students to reach their full potential, while continuously improving your own practice and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrate subject matter expertise in Counselling or Psychology, using real-world examples to illustrate complex concepts.
2. Teaching Strategies: Apply pedagogical theories and best practices to design engaging teaching sessions that cater to diverse learner needs.
3. Student Feedback and Evaluation: Gather and act upon student feedback to refine your teaching approach, ensuring a student-centric learning experience.
4. Program Coordination: Assist with program coordination tasks, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth delivery of the program.
5. Research and Innovation: Engage in ongoing research and innovation to advance the field of Counselling and improve teaching methods.
Requirements:
* Higher Education Qualification: Possess a higher education qualification (Master's or PhD) in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
* Industry Experience: Bring significant experience working in Counselling or Psychology, preferably with teaching experience at tertiary or vocational levels.
* Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
* Australian Counselling Association Membership: Meet the requirements for membership of the Australian Counselling Association.
