Description

About US
UniSuper is a place where brilliant thinkers and passionate people come together. As one of Australia's largest super funds, the work you'll do with us makes a meaningful difference today and tomorrow, for our members, the planet, and for you.

Our Office of the CEO and People Team play a pivotal role in shaping UniSuper's strategic direction and supporting our people and leaders to deliver outstanding outcomes. Together, these teams guide enterprise strategy and planning, governance, policy and advocacy, and data-led decision making, while also building a great employee experience through talent, capability, culture, change, wellbeing, and people operations.

Working across these Business Units means contributing to organisation wide initiatives that influence how we plan, lead, support, and grow our people and the Fund. You'll join a collaborative environment where your ideas are valued, your development is supported, and your work genuinely matters.

The Opportunity
This is a newly created role with the scope to shape and embed risk management practices across both the Office of the CEO and People Team. You will work closely with senior leaders and the board, integrating risk management into business processes and supporting strategic objectives in a complex, evolving environment.

Your focus will be on enabling informed decision-making, providing clear guidance, and ensuring operational excellence through effective risk partnership.

You'll also:

* Develop and maintain risk profiles for both business units, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and monitored.
* Coordinate and facilitate audit activities, including assurance reviews and tracking action plans to completion.
* Prepare and deliver operational risk and compliance reports to senior stakeholders.
* Foster a proactive, accountable risk culture through training, workshops, and capability building.
* Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including Line 2 Risk Advisory, Internal Audit, and regulators, to uplift risk maturity and support business objectives.

About You
You are a collaborative partner who works alongside the business to enable better outcomes. With a pragmatic and solutions-oriented mindset, you help teams navigate complexity and identify opportunities, rather than simply highlighting constraints. You are trusted for your ability to balance risk with business objectives, supporting leaders to achieve their goals while maintaining high standards of governance and compliance.

Your approach is grounded in curiosity, commercial awareness, and a genuine commitment to adding value. You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, building relationships, and providing clear, actionable guidance that supports both strategic and operational priorities.

You'll stand out if you bring:

* At least 5 years' experience in risk management or audit, ideally within financial services, superannuation, or a large corporate environment.
* Strong controls, process management, and audit expertise.
* Deep knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks.
* Analytical, reporting, and communication skills that influence and drive change.
* Experience supporting strategic transformation and working with diverse teams.
* The ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and lead others through change.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business, Finance, Risk Management, Law, or related field).
* A proactive approach and commitment to supporting UniSuper's strategic objectives.

What US Offer
We believe that the best way to achieve great things is when we come together and collaborate. Therefore, we ask you to be able to commit to 60% of your time in office.
UniSuper's high performance culture is supported by a range of benefits that demonstrates our commitment to ensuring our employees achieve their full potential, thrive, and grow their career with us. These include:

* A personal development budget of $1500 to support employees in their professional growth
* Community, Culture & Wellbeing leave
* Mental physical and financial well-being initiatives

At UniSuper, we value and celebrate diversity and inclusion in our workplace, where everybody can thrive. We believe that having a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, interests, abilities, and skills is crucial for delivering great retirement outcomes for our members. We invite you to apply for the roles that suit your career aspirations, even if you don't meet all the requirements listed.

Think Great. Create Great.
