Business Development Manager - Including SaaS Platform
South Australia | Full-time | Competitive base salary + uncapped commission
We're looking for the right person to join us as a Business Development Manager, helping grow a SaaS platform that supports businesses with safety, compliance and operational systems.
This role will start in South Australia and has a clear pathway to expand into a national role as the platform grows. We're operating in a startup environment, so this will suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, learning as they go, and contributing to something that's building momentum rather than stepping into something overly corporate.
Attitude is critical in this role. Skills can be taught and product knowledge can be learned, but we're looking for someone who brings energy, curiosity and a genuine interest in building relationships and winning new business.
You don't need to be a SaaS expert, but you do need some exposure to business development, sales, account management or a similar customer-facing role, and the confidence to have commercial conversations.
What you'll be doing
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities
* Managing the sales process from first conversation through to close
* Speaking with business owners and managers to understand their challenges
* Running SaaS product demonstrations and follow-ups
* Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
* Working toward clear growth and revenue targets
* Contributing ideas as the product and sales approach continue to evolve
What we're looking for
We're open on background, but the right person will bring:
* Some experience in business development, sales or a related role
* Confidence speaking with people and building rapport
* A positive, driven attitude and willingness to learn
* A solid understanding of sales pipelines, follow-up discipline and converting opportunities into outcomes
* Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot or similar
* The ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
* A driver's licence and willingness to meet clients when required
Experience with SaaS or software is an advantage, but not essential.
