Role Overview
* Develop complex mathematical models and computer science algorithms for research exploration and planning, mine planning, supply chain and low emission technology initiatives.
* Design and prototype large-scale optimization algorithms, simulation, and/or machine learning, deep learning models based on real-world data.
* Contribute to the development of software implementations of mathematical models and algorithms in modular, well-documented components.
* Research and develop new technologies to contribute to advanced mathematical and computer science models used within the group.
* Use visualization to communicate business insights that enable better decision-making within users.
Key Skills:
* Strong background in applied mathematics.
* Excellent scientific computing skills.
* Creativity in designing and developing efficient algorithms.
* Experience implementing algorithms as computer code using object-oriented languages (C#, C++, Java, Python, etc).
* Agile working methods and strong team player.
