The Water Resource Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and development of complex water modelling and resource projects. You will undertake research, and that analysis will be key to supporting the 2027 Urban Water Strategy, which informs the next stage in Barwon Water’s long term water resource strategy.
As the subject matter expert, you will attend regular industry working groups to identify risks, manage external consultant relationships and monitor budgets and timelines of projects.
Drawing upon your technical knowledge you will present outcomes and report on impacts and critical issues for water security, engaging with cross functional teams to ensure collateral is clear and resonates with a diverse audience.
This role will be engaged by an external agency until Jan 2026 to cover the backfill of a secondment.
About youPassionate about the security of water resources, you will thrive in a project focussed role. Leveraging your understanding of regulatory frameworks, you will have excellent analytical skills as you seek to apply best practice to drive outcomes.
A natural communicator, you are comfortable dealing in detail but understand how to reach a broader audience with a less technical foundation. Your work will also support the broader team, who will encourage your growth in a collaborative environment.
