Overview
dnata Catering UK is actively seeking seasonal General Assistants to join our vibrant team at Newcastle Airport. As a General Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our catering and goods arrive with our airline customers on time in line with various scheduling requirements.
The Role
As a General Assistant you will be working in one of the following areas within our business:
Production
* Preparing and plating food
* Handling packed food goods
* Packing amenity kits and flight condiments
Equipment
* Stacking shelves
* Rotation of stock
* Re-ordering dry stock
* Daily washing and general cleaning
* Waste removal
* Washing airline equipment to industry standards
* Search and seal inspections ensuring no prohibited items
* Checking stock for damages
* Completion of paperwork
Requirements
* Must be able to handle pork and alcohol products
* Must be prepared to stand for long periods and have good mobility
* Must be prepared to work in a chilled environment
* Basic understanding of English
