Do you have a desire to experience the Tweed’s beautiful beaches, seaside villages, riverside towns, the hinterland and everything in between as part of a great team where no two days are the same?

Do you have experience with animal management, interacting with the public in a regulatory environment, providing education, completing investigation reports and taking enforcement action as required?

If so, we have exciting opportunities for the right energetic, self-motivated and community focused individuals to join our team as permanent full-time Rangers.

You will work within a caring and agile team environment in a mobile role that sees you enforce and regulate compliance for areas relating to animal control, noise complaints, illegal camping, beach vehicle use, abandoned vehicles, overgrown land, illegal dumping, public reserves and parking.

Daily interaction with the public will require strong interpersonal and customer service skills; and a demonstrated ability to manage demanding situations.

These roles require you to respond to a range of compliance issues including serious offences under relevant legislation.

**About the roles**:

- You will be responsible for protecting our beautiful area to ensure the community, environment and our animals are kept safe
- Balance between working in the field and completing professional reports in the office
- As part of your duties, you will be required to respond to a range of compliance related issues that you will investigate under relevant laws and take enforcement action when required.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Experience in the humane care of animals and effective animal handling techniques including the capture of livestock, cats and aggressive or dangerous dogs.
- Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or relevant field.
- Experience in the gathering of evidence, effective interviewing and statement taking abilities and the preparation of a range of reports including investigation reports and briefs of evidence.
- Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence.

**What's on offer**:

- An attractive base salary ranging from $1,282.38 per week with competency-based increments up to $1,505.56 per week, plus 10.5% super
- 38 hour week, 9 day fortnight
- The ordinary hours of work are 8.5 hours per day with the weekly work pattern determined as operationally required within a 7 day span of operation
