The Opportunity
Pixii is seeking an Undergraduate Electrical and Controls Engineer entering their final year of study. This is a casual, flexible role designed to fit around university commitments.
Working across the full business—from the shop floor to the management team—you'll support electrical design, system integration, programming, testing, and technical documentation. This role provides exposure to real-world engineering challenges in a high-growth, leading-edge renewable energy environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Contributing to the design and development of electrical systems and control solutions in line with industry standards and client requirements.
* Creating and maintaining electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
* Assisting with PLC, HMI, VFD, and other control system programming and integration.
* Supporting project teams throughout the lifecycle with technical input and problem-solving.
* Troubleshooting electrical and control systems and conducting diagnostics and repairs.
* Assisting in developing and executing testing and commissioning plans.
* Preparing technical documentation such as design specs, test procedures, and user manuals.
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimisation and cost reduction.
