Design & Build are recruiting on the behalf of a national head contractor to bring onboard a Project Manager to their business in the ACT. Typical projects range from $1m - $50m across new build and fitout.
Role Description
* Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control plans.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental guidelines.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
* Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Construction Management or Project Management (or equivalent)
* Knowledge of EHS laws and regulations is a must.
* Knowledge of the NCC and Australian Standards, the Building Certification process, and an understanding of best practices are required.
* Given the nature of the work, good and effective verbal & written communication skills are required.
* Ability to write and manage construction programs
* Local experience in construction management is a must; (Mandatory requirement)
* Must be an Australian Citizen
