Our hotel is a part of the Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts network, offering high-quality accommodations to guests. We are located in Australia, specifically in South Australia, in the city of Adelaide.

* We are seeking a Front Desk Agent who will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a memorable experience from the moment they arrive at the hotel.
">
* The successful candidate will be responsible for performing check-in and check-out duties, taking and managing guest bookings, and maximizing up-selling opportunities.
">
* They will also ensure that the daily checklist and reporting are accurate, enabling the overnight team to perform their roles effectively.
">
* The Front Desk Agent must stay one step ahead of guests' needs, recording and acting on their preferences, handling messages, requests, questions, and concerns both over the phone and face-to-face.
">
* They must acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, providing personalized service to enhance the guest experience.
">
* The Front Desk Agent will adhere strictly to IHG policies regarding the Trade Practices Act, Gifts and Bribery, and Data Privacy, maintaining all procedures within the guidelines set by the company.
">
* They will also serve as a capable and confident concierge, being aware of local events and armed with personal experiences to provide recommendations to guests.
">
* In addition to these responsibilities, the Front Desk Agent may double as a porter and valet, assisting guests with their luggage and transport requirements while practicing safe driving techniques.

* They will champion the identification and reporting of hazards, evaluating risks associated with them and designing and implementing hazard control measures to ensure a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

* Ideal candidates will have 1-year previous experience in a Front Office or Guest Services related role.
">
* Qualifications in Hotel Management and/or Hospitality-related fields are preferred but not essential.
">
* Experience using Opera Property Management System is highly regarded.
">
* Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines.
">
* Literate and tech-savvy individuals with basic math skills and computer proficiency are ideal candidates.
">
* Articulate and warm individuals who can communicate effectively with guests are required.
">
* Fluent English language skills are essential, although additional language skills are considered an asset.
">
* Savvy problem-solving skills that turn potential issues into opportunities are necessary.
">
* Individuals with good physical fitness levels, able to stand for long periods and lift up to 23 kg, are preferred.
">
* A team player with flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, is required.
">
* A current, open Australian driver's license with a clear driving record is mandatory.
">
* Applicants must meet the legal requirements to work in Australia.
