Join our Team as a member of the Facilities Team
This role is responsible for helping with the continued maintenance, presentation, and general upkeep of the school’s grounds, gardens, and outdoor facilities. The role includes the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems, as well as the performance of general handyman and maintenance duties across the campus.
Responsibilities
Grounds and Garden Maintenance
- Maintain lawns, gardens, trees, and landscaped areas to ensure a neat and safe workplace.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, whipper snippers, blowers, and tractors.
- Undertake seasonal planting, pruning, mulching, and weed control.
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems
General Maintenance and Handyman Tasks
- Assist with the setup and pack down of school events and outdoor activities.
- Conduct routine inspections of outdoor facilities and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Report maintenance issues and assist in the planning and implementation of grounds improvement projects.
Work Health and Safety
- Comply with all Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
- Ensure all tools, machinery, and materials are used and stored safely.
- Identify and report potential hazards and contribute to a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in grounds and garden maintenance.
- Ability to operate and maintain a range of grounds maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) & NCCHC (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of irrigation systems.
- Experience working in a school or similar environment.

Terms and Conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Anglican Schools Commision Incorporated Victorian Agreement 2023. Remuneration will be determined by the Principal according to qualifications and experience.
