ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Working for a Local Council based in the Northern region of Sydney, you will be a part of a collaborative team. This is an initial 3 month contract with potential for extension or transition to permanent. Your office will be based at Council's depot and on-site parking is available.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Team Leader you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders to assess DAs and investigate unauthorised tree works. You will promote environmental sustainability through the management, protection and maintenance of the Urban Forest within the LGA.
DUTIES.
* Assess DAs and RDAs to ensure they met statutory requirements and the City's DCP
* Providing technical arboricultural advice to a range of stakeholders
* Manage and maintain Council owned trees
* Conduct site inspections
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
* Tertiary qualifications in Urban Horticulture, Arboriculture or Landscape/Parks Management.
* Current Class C Drivers Licence
* White Card
* Experience working in Local Council (desirable)
* Experience using TechOne will be highly regarded
