The Golden City Hotel is looking for a casual / part time Chef or cook to join our team for up to 20 hours per week.
Our kitchen is fast paced, managing a high volume of quality meals across breakfast, lunch, dinner and functions.
The position will suit applicants looking for a casual or part time position, with the potential for full time employment for the right candidate in the future.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist with food preparation
* Provide kitchen support to other Chefs
* Be confident and able to cook the full range of our extensive menu
* Ensure quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
* Hygiene and safety - help implement and enforce strict hygiene and safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications and experience
* Proven experience as a Chef or cook
* Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial cookery or relevant qualification) and/or demonstrated experience will be an advantage
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
