Virbac Australia has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Companion Animal team, specifically our Equine department, as an Area Sales Manager1. This full-time position is integral to driving business objectives and growth within a nominated sales area2. We are seeking a highly driven, self-motivated individual to manage a sales territory and drive results in line with team and organisational strategies.
The key areas of accountability for this role are:
Achieve the gross sales budget for the year.
Optimise sales and profits through implementation of approved marketing plans and campaigns.
Develop and maintain strong and effective business relationships with key accounts and distribution partners.
Provide a high level of communication and service to differentiate Virbac's image in the market.
Provide a report for the sales and marketing team which includes Business Highlights, Competitor Activity, Opportunities, and Suggestions/Issues/Comments.

A minimum of 2 years of experience within a sales-related role, preferably with Animal Health experience.
Proven track record in Sales.
Knowledge of the Animal Health industry and products.
Strong computer skills, with an intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A willingness to travel on a regular basis is essential.
Relevant industry or job qualifications.
Tertiary qualifications in agriculture, the veterinary industry, or business would be highly preferred.
Specific broad experience within the Equine community and associated markets is highly regarded.
