The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services, infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.
Duties
Building Projectsprovides advisory and management services to assist all State governmentagencies manage the construction, replacement, refurbishment or demolition ofbuildings.
The Project Coordinatoris responsible for coordinating sub projects and supporting the projectmanagement team in the delivery of major building projects and client agencyprograms, involving complex and/or politically sensitive and/or risk managementto time, cost and quality and ensuring projects meet the objectives andrequirements of the government and client agencies.
This role includes coordinating contract administrationincluding program advice and planning, site surveillance, variations, claims and progress payments,technical project contract preparation, tender evaluation and service providerrelationship management.
Requirements
Technical or construction related qualification is not essential but preferred.
Special Conditions
The successfulcandidate will be required to provide a National Police Check prior toemployment with the Department. Additional employment checks may be requiredrelevant to the role being undertaken as outlined in the role statement.
Some outof hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel may berequired.
