Within Technology Services, our five dynamic work units: Data, Architecture & Integration; Cyber Resilience; Digital Delivery & Innovation; Technology Platforms; and Operations & Services - collaborate to deliver cutting-edge solutions and high-impact projects across the University.
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Application Developer to lead the design, development and optimisation of complex application solutions across multiple university platforms. This role is suited to someone who enjoys solving sophisticated technical challenges, mentoring others, and driving scalable, enterprise-grade solutions that support critical business functions and enhance user experience.
You will make an impact by:
* Designing and delivering complex application solutions, including advanced workflows, integrations and user interfaces
* Leading system integrations that manage large data volumes and complex business rules across platforms
* Driving automation of sophisticated business processes to improve efficiency and service delivery
* Developing advanced dashboards and analytics tools to support real-time, data driven decision making
* Providing technical leadership through mentoring, best practice guidance and continuous improvement initiatives
What you will bring
You are a highly capable and collaborative Senior Application Developer who thrives on solving complex problems and building scalable, user-focused solutions. You bring strong technical expertise across modern development frameworks and enterprise systems, combined with the ability to guide others and influence outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.
You are comfortable working in agile environments, engaging with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical solutions, and continuously improving systems, processes and team capability.
To succeed in this role, you will also need:
* A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field, with ideally 4+ years professional development experience
* Strong technical capability across .NET/C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL Server and modern web development frameworks
* Experience delivering enterprise applications, integrations (APIs/web services) and data driven solutions
* Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Azure, and modern development practices
* Proven ability to mentor others and contribute to a collaborative, high performing engineering culture

Your opportunity is:
* Full-time, continuing (permanent)
* Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities
* HEW Level 7. The base salary ranges from $108,361 - $117,660 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $137,662.
