We are expanding our Audit & Assurance division in Perth and seeking a talented professional to join our growing team. This role offers the chance to contribute to assurance-related activities, engage directly with clients, lead and mentor junior staff.
About You
You will bring:
* Experience in delivering program assurance, internal audits, and/or financial statement audits across sectors such as government, and not-for-profit organisations
* Relevant tertiary qualifications
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
* Preferably already residing in Perth
Key Accountabilities
* Conducting high quality project and business audits from beginning to end, in line with deadlines
* Preparing concise and informative audit reports
* Identifying and documenting inherent risks and controls within business processes
* Undertake fraud investigations and provide insights into fraud prevention and risk assessment
* Contribute to continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned and driving innovative audit methodologies
* Support the development and implementation of internal audit strategies and plans
* Promote a proactive risk management culture and embed continuous auditing techniques
Are you up for the challenge?
* 3 years plus experience in internal audit within professional services environments
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce
* Solid understanding of governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks
* More than 3 years' experience in IT auditing
* Skilled in data analytics and continuous auditing techniques
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
* Dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation in audit practices
