As a Field Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of administrative and clerical support to field staff across the Statewide Operations Network.
About the Role
This position is part of the Early Childhood Education and Care Regulatory Authority within the Department of Education and plays a key role in regulating and supporting a diverse ECEC sector with more than 6,000 services across NSW.
* Provide high-quality administrative support to field staff to ensure consistent regulatory practices across the Statewide Operations Network.
* Manage records and information using relevant databases and systems, in line with departmental policies and procedures, ensuring accurate data entry and retrieval.
* Support research and project activities to assist field staff in their work.
* Prepare a range of documents, including reports and spreadsheets, to support operational needs.
* Support officers during site visits to assist with quality assessment and rating, and compliance monitoring of early childhood education services.
* Assist in supporting administrative functions of the broader Regulatory Authority to meet business needs.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while consistently meeting deadlines. They will also possess sound judgement and problem-solving skills to manage enquiries and escalate complex or high-risk issues when required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and professionalism, are essential for this role as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with early childhood education service provision, including knowledge of operational practices, regulatory requirements, and quality standards, is highly desirable.
