This is a hybrid role, with days in our Geelong office and days working remotely
A day in the life
* Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to gather and clarify business requirements.
* Analyse and document business processes, workflows, system interactions and data requirements.
* Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and functional documentation.
* Work closely with developers and testers throughout the SDLC to ensure shared understanding.
* Support test planning and user acceptance testing.
* Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve digital user experience.
* Contribute to continuous improvement across agile practices and product delivery.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.
* Use modern tools — including AI‐assisted analysis or documentation tools where appropriate — to support efficient BA work.
* Help assess where automation or emerging technologies could add value in future projects.
We're looking for someone with
* Experience as a Business Analyst in a software development, digital product or agile delivery environment
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Experience preparing system requirements, user stories, process maps and business documentation
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives
* Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
* Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps (desirable)
* Exposure to wireframing, prototyping or UX design (desirable)
* Knowledge of the Employment Services industry or government programs (highly regarded)
* Interest or experience in automation, data‐driven decision‐making or AI‐related tools (desirable but not essential)
