Eastside Lutheran College is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. This role offers the opportunity to teach Music across both Primary and Secondary year levels, inspiring students through engaging, high-quality music education and contributing to the life of the College.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive Music Program aligned with the Australian Curriculum and the ethos of the College. The role will include classroom teaching across Primary and Secondary, as well as involvement in co-curricular music activities, ensembles, performances, and College events.
This position is part-time (FTE 0.6), commencing in Term 1 2026, and is ongoing.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging music lessons across Primary and Secondary year levels
* Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities and learning styles
* Assess and report on student learning in line with College and curriculum requirements
* Contribute to ensemble programs, performances, and College events
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across Primary and Secondary
* Participate in staff meetings, professional learning, and College activities, including some non-term time duties as required
About You
The successful applicant will:
* Hold appropriate tertiary qualifications in Music and Education
* Hold current registration to teach in Tasmania
* Demonstrate experience and confidence teaching Music across a range of year levels
* Possess strong classroom management and organisational skills
* Have the ability to engage and inspire students and promote a love of music
* Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional learning
* Support and uphold the Christian ethos and values of a Lutheran school
