Job Summary
The Stores Inventory Control role is a key position within our warehouse and logistics services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general warehouse and logistics services in line with Supply Chain processes and accountable for delivering work on time, in full, and to standard.
This role involves a high level of physical movement and manual handling of tools, materials, and equipment (goods).
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor and optimise inventory through stock level analysis, periodic reviews, cyclic stocktakes, and support for supply chain reporting activities.
2. Ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible warehouse operation with accurate inventory control and continuous improvement through incident reporting and corrective actions.
3. Operate and maintain forklifts and equipment to safely move materials on-site, ensuring all tasks comply with manual handling and safety procedures.
4. Manage stock-related processes including maintenance and calibration schedules, providing fortnightly stock reports to the Logistics Manager.
Requirements
* Current forklift licence
* Current manual driver's licence
* 2+ years relevant warehousing and logistics experience, ideally within the Marine Support, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Defence industry
* Experience in a computerised ERP environment
Desirable Skills
* Dangerous Goods (DG) handling experience
* Certificate III in Warehousing, Logistics, or Supply Chain
* Pronto or IFS experience
* Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word
