ABOUT THE ROLE
You will work within a team to develop contemporary policy, strategies and reform projects, using data and technical inputs to form recommendations and produce high-quality policy and corporate documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop policy, strategies and projects, contributing to reform initiatives
* Draft and review policy, project and corporate documents to a high standard
* Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and lead engagement activities
* Work within governance and authorising arrangements and apply sound judgement to complex issues
* Use data and technical inputs to develop evidence-based recommendations
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
* Excellent writing skills for a government audience and strong communication/interpersonal capability
* Experience developing/interpreting policy and preparing briefs, reports, presentations and correspondence
* Good judgement, decision-making and governance skills; ability to work with limited direction
* Strategic policy/reform experience, legislation exposure, strategic commissioning, disability sector knowledge, Commonwealth procurement rules
* Desirable: Experience within disability, care or health industries
