Whether you're starting your journey or building on experience, we offer the chance to develop your skills, contribute meaningfully to the community, and help shape the future of a vibrant and evolving community.About the PositionJoin us as a part-time Technical Officer Engineering Works (45.6 hours per fortnight) for a 12-month fixed term, with the possibility of extension.In this role, you\'ll assist the Coordinator Engineering Works in managing the day-to-day operations of the team—monitoring leave, tracking performance, and maintaining records.
You\'ll handle project budgets, procurement, and support the growth of team members.
You\'ll be the go-to for complex public enquiries about civil infrastructure like lighting, footpaths, and street furniture.
Regular inspections and audits of roads, drainage, and open spaces will help ensure safety and quality standards are met.You\'ll also coordinate capital projects and maintenance programs, support data reporting, and deliver excellent customer service, including responding to Councillor Help Desk requests.
Building strong stakeholder relationships and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture will be vital to your success.About youYou collaborate effectively and can coach and motivate key stakeholders to meet project goals while making sound decisions independently.
Your communication is clear and direct, enabling you to influence and negotiate with both internal teams and external partners.
You maintain a respectful and inclusive work environment and adapt quickly to change by identifying practical improvements and focusing on delivering results.
