About the Role
This position supports our Customer Fulfilment Centre in Wetherill Park, NSW, Australia. The Automation Specialist provides front-line support related to the continuous operation of site material handling equipment (MHE), ranging from electrical wiring faults to detailed analysis of programmable logic controller software.
* Carry out planned maintenance across the site in an accurate and timely manner.
* Remotely support partner sites using phone and other company communications tools.
* Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores and training given.
* Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal departments to improve processes and increase machine reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse data to find solutions to improve MHE performance, providing reports where necessary.
* Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and action repairs.
* Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard.
* Work to and follow Health and Safety policies, including those set by regulatory standards.
Requirements
* Demonstrated technical ability in relation to Automation hardware, software, and communications.
* Formal tertiary qualifications in a related field will be highly regarded.
* Demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem-solving ability.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to impart knowledge effectively to others.
