Job Title: Tailings Infrastructure Specialist
A unique opportunity has arisen to lead the studies and delivery of a tailings storage facility and non-process infrastructure (NPI) project in regional Tasmania. The role involves managing the front-end engineering design (FEED) and detailed feasibility study (DFS) phases, as well as overseeing the execution of construction contracts. Key responsibilities include developing and managing contract strategies, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering reporting to stakeholders. This position is ideal for an experienced project manager with civil or bulk earthworks experience, who can drive the project from conceptualization to completion. We are seeking someone who is results-driven, collaborative, and committed to delivering projects safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage FEED/DFS and execution for TSF and NPI scopes
* Own project planning, risk management, cost/schedule control, and execution readiness
* Develop and manage contract strategy and evaluation process
* Oversee EPCM and subcontractor performance during construction
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
* Deliver reporting to JV partners and assist in stakeholder engagement
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Experience in the mining industry and knowledge of relevant regulations and standards would be highly regarded.
