We are currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand Boilermaker to join our team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can guide a crew while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. You will play a key role in supervising boilermakers and trades assistants, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of boilermakers and trades assistants
* Coordinate daily workshop or site activities
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
* Maintain high fabrication and welding quality standards
* Provide mentoring and guidance to team members
* Liaise with supervisors and management regarding job progress and requirements
* Assist with hands-on fabrication, repairs, and structural work as required
Skills & Experience
* Cert III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or Similar
* Proven experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory role
* Proven experience in bucket rebuilds, and blade repairs
* Knowledge of Earthmoving Equipment
* Strong fabrication and welding experience
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* High commitment to safety and quality
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
* Current WA drivers license (HR Desirable)
