We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for working with people and supporting the Defence and veteran community. Help us deliver the Cowork Coplay Program in Katherine as our Program Facilitator for our 2026 program (starts Term 2).
Cowork Coplay is our 8-week flagship program for partners/spouses of current- and former-serving Defence members. By addressing key challenges such as career disruption, social isolation and lack of access to child care, Cowork Coplay empowers participants to connect with a like-minded community and amplify their sense of purpose and work/professional identity.
Taking a strengths-based approach the program includes: workshops, activities, networking, discussions, and coworking time. Participants are invited to learn, expand their skill sets, connect with each other and work on their own career-related projects. These projects could be looking for a new job, completing uni assignments, starting or running a business or a mix of these or other meaningful activities. We provide child care (0-5 years) for participants who need it and a delicious morning tea.

* Start date: January 2026
* Time commitment: minimum 2 days (~15 hours) per week; flexible around program days and work from home
* Indicative rate: $65/hour (casual rate including superannuation & allowances)
* Defence or veteran connection (e.g. being a partner of a Defence member) required.
Role & accountabilities
As the Cowork Coplay Program Facilitator, you will play a central role in representing the program and the company. Core roles and responsibilities:
* Effectively engage with and coach people; nurturing enduring relationships with participants.
* Facilitate the in-person Cowork Coplay program, provided one day a week over 8 weeks. This includes: room setup, welcoming participants, liaising with guest mentors/experts and child carers, generating focussed discussions, supporting participants in setting personal and professional goals, and capturing participant feedback to support continuous improvement of the program.
* Assist with marketing and promotion efforts to share the program among Defence and veteran networks. This may include attending events at the request of HQG.
* Actively deliver creative/innovative solutions to problems.
* Work autonomously during program delivery phase.
* Foster an enjoyable, collaborative and inclusive working culture.
* Assist Human Quotient Group Directors with business objectives and business opportunities.
* Share knowledge through collaboration, reporting, training, coaching and lessons learned.
You will be directly supported by Cowork Coplay's creator, Claire Harris, and other members of the team. We also have the majority of program materials and resources, however, you may wish to propose and design new resources/activities.
Experience and Qualifications
* Essential experience/qualifications *
* Experience in facilitating programs, training experiences, or community activities or events.
* Experience working in professional work settings.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to a group and engaging 1:1 with adults and children.
* Experience using Google docs and spreadsheets as well as Google Meet and other online communication tools, video and photography.
* Mandatory; Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and police check.
* You understand the Defence lifestyle, can appreciate its ups and downs, and that everyone's experiences are valid.
* Desirable experience/qualifications*
* Professional qualifications in counselling, teaching or training and assessment, coaching or career development.
* Experience applying strengths-based and/or solution-focused approaches.
Attributes and Skills
* High-level organisation skills, good at documenting actions and project plans and can navigate Google tools (such as Google docs and Google forms).
* You are non-judgemental, actively embrace diversity and care about people and what they're trying to achieve.

Work environment
* Location: Katherine, NT area. You will be required to occasionally travel (paid by the employer).
* Hours: minimum 2 days, approximately 15 hours/ week. Varies in preparation vs delivery phases.
* Work from home. Flexible working arrangements supported.
