The purpose of the role is to maintain and oversee the general maintenance of hospital plant and equipment defined by scope in this Position Description and ensure compliance is achieved while completing all works.
FM are responsible for facilities management services across all North Canberra Hospital (NCH) properties (Acute and Non-Acute), buildings, plant and non‐clinical equipment. These services include high quality and timely planned and reactive maintenance and technical trade skill repairs.
The Commercial Carpenter role reports to the Maintenance Manager and will undertake activities to support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, and repairs, for the North Canberra Hospital and other facilities managed by NCH across the ACT. The asset portfolio is a diverse and complex range of systems and essential infrastructure that support the critical nature of a health service delivery model.
A secondary role of the Commercial Carpenter is to provide support to the Maintenance Manager during various projects being undertaken across the campus by providing advice based on experience.
