We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team, working across projects from Brisbane to Ballina .
This is a Part-time or Casual position, and our office is based in Ashmore .
As part of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring all worksites meet the highest safety standards and compliance requirements under Queensland WHS legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
* Help to develop and implement WHS policies, procedures, and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
* Provide training, toolbox talks, and guidance to site teams.
* Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
* Liaise with site supervisors, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar WHS role (construction industry preferred).
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
* Strong knowledge of QLD & NSW construction safety legislation and practices.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Current driver’s licence and White Card.
