Job Description
The role offers a motivated person the opportunity to join our team of structural engineers to assist in the delivery of quality engineering consultancy services for residential, commercial and industrial developments.
The role will be primarily focused in our Housing Division which carries out designs of residential projects. The role will give the successful applicant a wide and varied knowledge of all forms of structures.
The role is now available and is ready for an immediate start for the right applicant.
The Role
* Lead the structural design of diverse residential projects, from concept through to construction
* Deliver efficient, buildable and cost-effective structural solutions aligned with Australian Standards and project constraints
* Review and quality‐assure structural designs and documentation (your own and your peers') to maintain a high technical standard across the team
* Undertake site inspections to verify structural compliance, resolve construction issues, and ensure design intent is achieved
* Conduct investigative and advisory site visits during the design phase to inform practical and constructible engineering outcomes
* Collaborate closely with builders, architects, drafters and clients to deliver coordinated, well‐resolved structural solutions
* Contribute to continuous improvement of internal design systems, documentation standards and technical capability
What you need
* Completion of a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree at an Australian University. A Major in structures would be an advantage. Eligibility for Membership of Engineers Australia
* Working towards RPEQ is preferred but not essential.
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and structural analysis software
* Strong analytical skills
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to work in a team and independently
* The ability to manage your workload to achieve project deliverables
* An excellent attention to detail
* Enthusiasm to learn
