About the Role
Pacific Marine Group is seeking an experienced Marine Compliance & Technical Manager to take ownership of marine auditing, regulatory compliance, and fleet maintenance management. This is a senior, hands-on role that involves both overseeing and actively performing key compliance, audit, and technical functions to ensure vessels meet statutory, class, and company requirements.
The role reports to the Maritime Services Manager and works closely with the Marine Operations Manager, supporting operational delivery through strong technical governance, practical problem-solving, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Key areas of responsibility include:
* Managing and coordinating vessel compliance, statutory requirements, and class obligations
* Planning and delivering slipping, dry-docking, and major fleet maintenance programs
* Leading and participating in internal and external marine audits, inspections, and surveys
* Liaising with AMSA, classification societies, flag authorities, and other regulators
* Providing technical and engineering advice in relation to vessels, machinery, and marine systems
* Supporting incident investigations, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
You are an experienced marine professional with a strong technical background and a practical, hands-on approach.
You will ideally bring:
* Proven experience in a marine compliance, technical, engineering, or superintendent-type role
* Strong working knowledge of AMSA requirements, class rules, and applicable marine legislation
* Experience managing vessel slipping, dry-docking, and major maintenance programs
* Confidence liaising with regulators, class surveyors, and operational stakeholders
* Experience undertaking internal & external audits & developing improvement programs
* Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
An engineering qualification, or similar, is desirable however significant relevant industry experience will also be strongly considered.
