Job Description
This is a recruitment pool for permanent full-time, part-time, and casual positions with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
* An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic clinical nurse to join our team based at the regional step-up step-down facility in Geraldton.
To be successful, you will have:
* Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with psychiatric disorders and treatment interventions, as well as principles of community-based mental health care and illness prevention.
* Demonstrated well-developed written and verbal communication, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work with clients from various cultural and ethnic groups.
* A working knowledge of the WA Mental Health Act (2014) and other relevant legislation.
* Demonstrated ability to work with other health professionals within a multi-disciplinary team.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the clinical nurse is to provide assessments, plans, implements, and evaluates community mental health nursing care to consumers of the Regional Step Up Step Down facility.
This is an open-ended recruitment pool, and the following should be noted:
* The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
* Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
* Appointments may be made from this pool until December 31, 2025.
