We are seeking NDIS Support Workers in the Cooloola Cove Region on the Fraser Coast
Responsibilities
1. Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans
2. Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming
3. Provide transportation assistance to clients
4. Provide respite care to clients and their families
5. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress
6. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team
7. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
8. Attend regular meetings with clients and their families to review and adjust their NDIS plans as needed
9. Provide training and education to clients and their families on how to navigate the NDIS system
10. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field
Requirements
* A minimum of a high school or equivalent education
* At least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities
* Experience with dementia is highly regarded
* Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Experience with CRM software and NDIS portals
* Understanding of health and safety regulations
* Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs based on clients' abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements
* Basic care and first aid skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
