Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resource Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the HR department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
You will work closely with operational managers to achieve high-performance outcomes, build strong relationships, and ensure accurate information is maintained in our HRIS system.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic HR advice on employee relations, including grievances and conflict resolution
* Support managers on employee relations matters, including performance management and disciplinary processes
* Coordinate and roll out annual performance cycles, talent management, and succession planning
* Assist in obtaining recommendations on salary benchmarking and remuneration packages
* Manage accurate information on the HRIS system and provide reports and data analysis across a range of HR metrics
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Degree or higher in Business, Human Resource Management, Legal, Finance, or a related field
* 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role or related discipline
* Experience in the construction, transport, or engineering sector is desirable
* Proven understanding of employment law, employee relations, and national and state regulatory frameworks
* Demonstrated experience in coordinating investigations, performance management, disciplinary processes, and termination of employment
