Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Patient Appointment Coordinator to join our Medical Administration team in Alice Springs. You'll play a vital role in supporting access to quality healthcare for Aboriginal communities by coordinating patient appointments and working closely with both clinical and hospital liaison teams.

At Nganampa Health Council we've been providing health care to the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara people in the far northwest of South Australia for 40 years and we're proud of our track record improving health outcomes in the community. We operate clinics in 6 main communities on the APY Lands, with a workforce operating both on and off the lands. Our admin office in Alice Springs is the hub of our activities and the centre for the Medical Administration Team.
What You'll Do
•Manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring they align with travel options from remote communities and in consultation with relevant clinical staff as required.
•Maintain and optimise our patient assisted transport system (PATS) and Communicare ensuring accurate, up-to-date information for clinical and hospital liaison teams.
•Work closely with medical and hospital liaison teams to ensure seamless service delivery
•Support staff in using appointment systems and processes.
•Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying service gaps and reporting issues.
•Uphold confidentiality and promote safe workplace practices.

Who are we looking for?
•Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
•Excellent organisational and time-management ability.
•A knack for following procedures and processes
•Proven reliability and the ability to work both independently and in a close-knit team.
•Proficiency in Microsoft systems and database systems.
•Current Police Check and Current Working with Children Check (NT Ochre Card)
