Yours roles and responsibilities: * Controlling and managing the general operation of the kitchen. * Monitoring overall staffing costs and working closely with the Operations Manager to control COG's, including but not limited to conducting and/or supervising the ordering process. * Assist with hiring, training, and performance management of kitchen staff. * Maintain a positive team culture with a strong pool of talent within your crew. * Managing general maintenance of the kitchen and the back of house areas. * Preparing and cooking high quality food using locally sourced ingredients. * Training team members on food preparation techniques, maintaining quality and whilst ensuring a high level of hygiene and food safety compliance. * Enforce company policies, staff policies, and service standards. The Experience You'll Have: * Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery, Kitchen Management, Culinary Arts or similar * Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role * A sound understanding of BOH operations. * Ability to supervise operations in a fast-paced environment. * Able to build, lead, train, and motivate a team. * Passionate hospitality professional. * Strong leadership skills and an ability to create and maintain a culture of service excellence. * A sound understanding of the costs involved with the management of a successful business.
