* This senior role will oversee end-to-end weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in compliance with legislative requirements.
Responsibilities:
Main Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for validating timesheets, allowances, deductions, leave, and approvals. They will also interpret employment agreements (EBAs), awards, and industrial instruments to ensure compliance. Additionally, they will maintain payroll master data, employee records, and contract documentation while preparing accurate payroll reports and reconciliations.
The Senior Payroll Officer will also manage payments to the ATO (Australian Taxation Office), super funds, and other statutory bodies ensuring that all financial obligations are met promptly.
The role requires excellent communication skills to respond to employee queries regarding their pay. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies in records or calculations.
The position demands meticulous attention to detail as well as efficient time management skills due diligence is necessary for delivering high-quality results on tight deadlines.
