The Role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand to be part of a pipeline of ongoing projects across the region of South Australia. This is an onsite role, offering direct hands-on experience to contribute to the success of the project by assisting the Site Supervisor in driving productivity, ensuring quality of work and remaining compliant with environmental standards.
Permanent, full-time role with standard construction site hours.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist Site Supervisor in the delegation of tasks on-site
* Understand the project scope and assist the Site Supervisor to implement time and cost-effective construction methodologies
* Ensure all SRG and Client policies and procedures are followed by the team on-site
* Ensure that all personnel have their fit for purpose tooling and knowledge required to carry out tasks effectively which includes ensuring all tickets and licenses have been sighted and scope of works are understood
* Complete shift reports as per site requirements, complete daily worksheets and other daily reporting as per site requirements and ensure daily pre-starts are carried out on all equipment
* Actively contribute to risk assessments which include auditing work tasks to ensure assessments are accurate and relevant
* Direction and monitoring of Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and plant hirers
* Ensure clients quality expectations are being met/exceeded (in accordance with spec)
The successful applicant will ideally have
* Previous Leading Hand or Supervisory experience
* Pipelaying experience across water, sewerage and drainage systems
* Current driver's licence
* Ability to lead and provide guidance in team settings
* Ability to see demanding work through to completion
* Construction/White Card
* Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including a Drug & Alcohol Screen prior to commencement
* Australian working rights
