Are you a seasoned Employee Relations professional ready to make a real impact in a complex, unionised environment? Join Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) in this Employee Relations role and help drive positive workforce outcomes across one of NSW's leading health districts.
This is more than an advisory role - it is a strategic partnership opportunity where your expertise will influence leaders, shape culture, and strengthen organisational capability.
About the Opportunity
As a trusted ER/IR specialist, you will partner closely with leaders and managers to navigate complex employee and industrial relations matters. From performance management and misconduct to disputes, grievances, investigations and award interpretation, you will provide commercially sound, legally compliant advice that protects the organisation while supporting its people.
You will also play a key role in representing CCLHD before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission and other tribunals, advocating for timely, fair and effective outcomes. In this role you will:
* Provide expert ER/IR advice across performance management, misconduct, terminations, disputes and investigations, ensuring compliance with NSW Government and NSW Health legislation and policies.
* Lead advocacy and representation in industrial matters, building strong, productive relationships with unions, employer associations, Ministry stakeholders and internal leaders.
* Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement medium- and long-term ER strategies that align with organisational objectives.
* Strengthen ER systems and processes, collaborate with People & Culture specialists, and support organisational change through practical, compliant workforce solutions that foster a positive, high-performing culture.

* Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and award frameworks, with proven experience managing investigations and representing organisations in industrial forums.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, advise and partner effectively at senior levels.
* Demonstrated resilience, sound judgement and the capacity to balance competing priorities in high-volume environments.
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across District sites.
Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants who do not meet this requirement.
