The Role
The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for the creation and maintenance of ETL processes into and out of the data warehouse, data management and modelling, and Data as a Service products.
This role also requires the ability to think logically and critically to solve complex problems or build business rules using data.
Practical experience with Python and SQL is essential for the role, as is a working knowledge of cloud computing and data warehousing concepts. A substantial portion of the role includes interacting with APIs, data pipeline creation, troubleshooting, data discovery, data modelling.
Key Responsibilities
* Creation and maintenance of data pipelines from AdTech platforms
* Data cleansing - troubleshooting, fixing errors and identifying discrepancies in data when onboarding new sources.
* Engaging with internal and external stakeholders
* Working with BI Engineers and Data Scientists to confirm data quality.
* Provide input to project planning, status, and review meetings.
* Requirements gathering
* Query data using SQL including the creation of logical schemas and tables.

About you
* 3+ years' experience in data engineering or equivalent role.
* Strong Python skills with proven experience
* Proven experience in building data warehouses and ETL workflows
* Knowledge of cloud data warehousing
* Experience with Airflow and Kubernetes
* Experience with AWS & Snowflake
* Experience with API's
* Experience manipulating and extracting data using SQL.
* Proactive
* CI/CD exposure such as GitHub actions, Docker commands, shell interaction.
* Ability to provide input to project planning, status, and review meetings.
